Successful Handover of Polyethylene plant to our customer in Saudi Arabia |

| On 8th September 2009, the HDPE plant in Al-Jubail/Saudi Arabia was successfully handed over to our customer Eastern Petrochemical Company (SHARQ).
The test run of the plant was started simultaneously. Only 80 minutes into trial operations, stable production of the 4PE plant reactor was achieved. The 3PE reactor will be started-up soon.
The SHARQ management has expressed its full satisfaction with the successful handover of the plant and the exceptionally smooth test run.
The plant has an annual capacity of 800 000 tons of HDPE aund LLDPE. It operates on a polyethylene process licensed by SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corp) which includes the purification of raw material, catalyst production, polymerisation, extrusion, blending, storage, big-bag packaging and palletizing.
Linde-KCA-Dresden has once more excelled in its capabilities as EPC contractor for large plant engineering projects under very demanding conditions. Our reference list of Polymer Plants has been extended by an important new entry.
